The latest images from South Africa show one of the timbrel vaults complete. The structure here is a bit thicker than the Crossway vault but still remarkably thin. Crossway is 3 times as wide & 3 times as tall - and yet has a thinner edge.

A Crude Awakening is interesting in that it focuses on the impact of oil on society, rather than it’s effect on the environment. The film reaches a “startling, but logical conclusion — our industrial society, built on cheap and readily available oil, must be completely re-imagined and overhauled”. It’s so frighteningly obvious ! What on Earth are we doing?
